Man who went on holiday to Morocco hit with £32,000 bill
A man hit with a staggering £32,000 bill after holidaying in Morocco has declared he was a "victim of a hack or a bug." Dominique, 63, from France, received the eye-watering charge from his mobile provider, which alleged he'd accumulated the sum through excessive data usage.
The Maule trader, who visits the North African country regularly, insisted he hadn't "touched" his phone and had never previously been billed more than €140 (approximately £120). In total , his provider, Orange, invoiced him €37,737.11 (roughly £32,700) following the trip, which took place last spring.
However, Orange maintained that it alerted long-standing customer Dominique about his usage through 16 text messages, according to Le Parisien.
