KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A former correctional officer out of Ulster County was indicted for predatory sexual assault against a child and other related charges on September 11. Thomas Banks Jr., 35, of Pine Bush, was arraigned in Ulster County Court.

Banks was indicted and arraigned following an investigation by State Police while he was a Wallkill Correctional Officer. The defendant resigned from his position during the investigation.

A judge placed Banks in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of bail.
