Home Bargains has made a new announcement, with fans left divided on one certain subject.

Christmas - a day which comes around every year without fail, and as we begin the approach into the second half of September, the big event is every looming.

And the supermarket is not letting anyone forget it either, with the brand taking to social media with an official reminder of the countdown to Christmas.

The controversial nature of the move did not go amiss with the brand, as they wrote on Instagram: "At the risk of upsetting a few..."

In the post accompanying the caption, the chain shared how there are only 100 days until Christmas, with Santa's sleigh not far away.
