Residents have described their shock following an apparent double shooting which rocked a north Manchester estate said to be plagued by drug-dealing youths.
In one incident, an innocent couple and their young son escaped serious injury when what appeared to be a shot was fired through the window of their home on Ainthorpe Walk in Newton Heath at around 9.55pm on Tuesday. One man - who police don't believe was the intended target - suffered a minor injury in the attack. One neighbour described them as a 'lovely family'.
