HALLSVILLE, Texas — A third-grade student from Hallsville ISD has been chosen for the National Math Stars program. Deniel Romaniuk is one of 57 students selected across the state.
The program has a total of 102 students from Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.
Deniel was chosen from a pool of thousands of nominations based on academic excellence, passion for mathematics and school leader recommendations. As a National Math Star, he will receive a long-term package of support valued at over $100,000, according to a statement from Hallsville ISD.
