EVANSVILLE — The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival has been named the best in the nation for the third year in a row as part of the USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards.

The local festival, set this year for Oct. 6-11, topped the list in the USA TODAY/10Best's reader poll, beating out events in South Carolina, New Mexico, Ohio and other places.

The fall festival won the top spot in 2023 and 2024. In 2019, it came in second. The event brings more than 200,000 people to Evansville's Franklin Street each year, making it one of the largest street festivals in the country.

Attendees have the chance to try a variety of food, while having contributions go to a variety of community organizations. There are also carnival games and rides.
