INGLEWOOD – The Inglewood City Council responded to criticism of the proposed FY 2025-2026 budget after it was unveiled to the public, showing a $24 million deficit.

The proposed FY 2025-2026 budget shows the City is projecting $430,208,635 (including $11.1 million in anticipated fund balance carry-over) in revenue, and the total estimated expenditure budget is $454,000,109.

Budget Manager Keauonn Buchannon presented a partial overview of the budget, highlighting only one of the five revenue funds that comprise the full budget.

Buchannon’s sole focus was on the General Fund because it shows a positive fund balance.
