PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A woman who died after being struck by a vehicle in Portsmouth on Wednesday morning worked at Churchland High School, Portsmouth Public Schools confirmed.
Portsmouth police responded to the 4300 block of Cedar Lane around 6 a.m. for a reported crash involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian, identified as 61-year-old Katuria Grant, was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
A spokesperson for Portsmouth Public Schools said Grant was employed as a Food Services Worker at Churchland High School, not far from where the accident happened.
