For those who can’t wait, the movie will also be available to stream a day earlier, on Friday, Sept. 19 on HBO Max . The film’s writer and director, James Gunn, confirmed the news on social media, sharing a photo of the film’s leading man David Corenswet, with a preview of the movie on the streaming app. "#Superman is available on @StreamOnMax Friday!" he wrote in his post.

A special version of “Superman” with American Sign Language (ASL) will also be available exclusively on HBO Max on Sept. 19.
