SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Sixteen-year-old Oglethorpe Mall shooting suspect Franklin James has been denied bond by Chatham County Superior Court Judge John Morse.
Court documents show Judge Morse denied James' bond Tuesday Sept. 9.
The court denied his bond due to the belief that he poses a significant threat or danger to the community and James poses a significant risk of intimidating witnesses pending trial, the bond application said.
James was the last suspect publicly identified by the Savannah Police Department (SPD) and surrendered himself at the request of police July 31 as first reported by WSAV.
Twenty-year-old Johnathan Jones and the youngest suspect, 16-year-old Dahmil Johnson have also previously been denied bond by Superior Court judges.
