The Chandler City Council voted earlier this summer to place a handful of items on a special Nov. 4 election ballot.

This mail-only election will be one in which Chandler voters can authorize the city to continue a property tax so that the city can issue general obligation bonds over time to help fund the city’s Capital Improvement Plan, according to a news release.

The deadline to register to vote in the Special Election is Monday, Oct. 6. To register to vote in Arizona, you must meet the following qualifications:

Be a U.S. citizen;

Be an Arizona resident at least 29 days before Nov. 4;

Be 18 years of age or older on or before Nov. 4;

Not have been convicted of a felony or treason, unless your civil rights have been restored.
