LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. – A loaded gun was found at Liberty Park near the playground this morning, according to the Spokane Police Department.

The gun was reported at 8:40 a.m. and police came and took it immediately after.

Investigation into why the gun was there is ongoing. A public information officer for the Spokane Police Department said they were unsure if it is linked to a crime.

Police warned the public that if they find a gun, they should not touch it and report it right away.
