YANKTON, S.D. (KCAU) — Do you want to help remove invasive species from a Siouxland national park and get a free boat ride? The Missouri National Recreational River (MNRR) Invasive Plant Removal volunteer event might just be for you.

On September 27 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., the MNRR event will have attendees cut down invasive species of Eastern Red Cedars. These trees are native to Yankton, but can become invasive and harmful to the Missouri River and the forests that run along it.
