It was the Prime Minister’s Office looking for a parliamentary budget officer to carry over for the next six months. Article content Article content
“You receive a phone call on a Saturday night over a long weekend and someone purporting to be from the Prime Minister’s Office, it might actually be real,” Jacques, the interim PBO, told a parliamentary committee on Sept. 16.
“I tell my kids not to take those phone calls.”
When a PMO official asked Jacques to be the interim PBO he immediately said that there was an “incredibly talented” candidate for that position, who was going to
