MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Some immigrants who are non-citizens, and their attorneys, are bracing for the National Guard and the President's "Memphis Safe Task Force," and they are wondering how this could impact the new ICE facility in Mason, Tennessee.

"They are filling the beds," said Immigration Attorney Andrew Rankin.

Immigration attorney Andrew Rankin said he believes they are scheduling inmates at the facility for hearings, most likely by video conferencing.

"The detainees who are being housed there they are scheduling them for hearings, and I know that because I have one coming up on Friday," said Rankin.

"There's nowhere to put them in Shelby County. The only place that they can keep them is at the ICE facility, which is out near the airport, but they only have some holding rooms," sai
