DENVER (KDVR) — The suspect who is accused of leading deputies on a wrong-way pursuit down Interstate 25 was arrested twice in September prior to the incident, according to court documents.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office identified the suspect as Thomas Mazza, 31. He was arrested after allegedly fleeing from an attempted traffic stop performed by Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies in south Loveland on Sept. 15.
The deputies ordered Mazza to pull over for traffic violations, but he refused to stop and fled the scene. During the chase, Mazza turned onto I-25, driving in the wrong direction. He was heading south in the northbound lanes.
