ATLANTA — Atlanta Police are investigating after a "suspicious rope" was found tied in a tree in the parking lot of the city's Black history museum on Wednesday afternoon.

APD said that its officers, along with Homeland Security, responded to 135 Auburn Ave., which is located at Atlanta's APEX Museum for Black history and also not far from Georgia State University.

11Alive's Cody Alcorn received photos of the rope hanging down from the tree, where a small loop can be seen near the bottom.
