(KRON) – After leading the first inaugural WNBA team to the playoffs, Golden State Valkyries head coach Natalie Nakase has received the Coach of the Year award, the league announced Wednesday.

Valkyries General Manager, Ohemaa Nyanin, called Nakase a “fierce leader.”
