KENT COUNTY, Mich. — This summer, businesses in Plainfield Township were hit with a surge of vandalism . Now, the Kent County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) shared they have a suspect in custody in connection to the investigation.

27-year-old Jarod Walker from Plainfield Township is facing multiple felony counts of destruction of property, according to KCSO.

"These graffiti incidents happened throughout the summer and defaced dozens of businesses and public property in Plainfield Township and the greater Grand Rapids area," said KCSO.

The sheriff's office thanked the public for submitting tips to help identify Walker.
