The alert was sent at 11:04 a.m. on Wednesday.
The shark sighting has been confirmed by Ocean Safety Lifeguards or another reliable source.
One 10 foot shark was observed 10-50 yards from shore.
Warning signs have been posted to alert beachgoers.
