A Phoenix man pleaded guilt to three counts relating to exploitation of a minor.

Christopher Votey pleaded guilt to one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, a class 2 felony, and two counts of attempt to commit sexual exploitation of a minor, class 3 felonies, according to the Arizona Attorney General's Office.

Votey is scheduled for sentencing on Oct. 27.

Law enforcement became aware of Votey through an online investigation. During the investigation, Votey sent an undercover agent multiple images and videos of child exploitative materials, according to a press release.

Votey was later contacted by law enforcement and admitted to viewing and distributing child exploitative materials via various apps and websites, according to the press release.
