La Center made its season debut in the top 10 at Class 1A in the most recent release of the Associated Press media state high school football rankings.

Following a 34-17 win over Woodland, La Center garnered 10 points among the eight voting members of the media to come in at No. 8 in the Class 1A rankings.

Seton Catholic, after a 45-20 win over Mark Morris, moved up two spots to No. 6 in Class 1A.

Those are the only two teams from Southwest Washington in Class 4A to 1A to appear in the top 10, after Camas dropped out of the 4A top 10 after its loss to Mount Tahoma.
