An 18-year-old from Cape Cod, accused of threatening to commit a school shooting in Massachusetts, posted bail and is back home, to the dismay of some community members who say he is dangerous.

Ian Fotheringham, of Falmouth, was charged with threatening to use a deadly weapon in a public building. He posted $2,500 bail and was released after a dangerousness hearing on Tuesday.

Parents said they are disappointed he's out, and one parent said she didn't send her three children to school on Wednesday.

"He's a dangerous person. A lot of friends went to trial yesterday and expressed outrage against the judge's decision," Sarah Bogdan said.

Falmouth schools said extra police would be at the town's four elementary schools for the next two weeks.
