FARGO — Fargo police say the man accused of killing a 20-year-old at a south Fargo apartment this summer was inside a downtown bar earlier that night, even though he was too young to legally enter.
At the Liquor Control Board meeting Wednesday, Sept. 17, Fargo Police Capt. Troy Hannig told members that C’aundre Douglas, 20, spent part of the evening of July 22 at District 64, a downtown bar. Douglas is accused of killing Elijah Hughes, 20, later that night.
Detectives reviewing surveillance video said they saw Douglas enter District 64 just after midnight. Officers said the bouncer did not check his ID, and detectives saw several other people walk in without being carded.
Police say paperwork has been filed in municipal court against both the owner and a former bouncer at District 64 fo
