SPOKANE – The Washington State Department of Transportation will temporarily close the eastbound I-90 Garden Springs Road off-ramp Thursday for pavement marking improvements.

The closure of exit 277A is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 18 as maintenance crews grind and inlay new reflective arrows on the ramp surface, said WSDOT.

Drivers who typically use the Garden Springs Road exit will need to continue to the Geiger Boulevard/Grove Road off-ramp at exit 276.

Transportation officials have installed a variable message sign before the Geiger Boulevard/Grove Road exit to alert travelers.

Commuters should allow extra time for Thursday trips, as the alternate route may add travel time depending on traffic conditions.
