GRAND FORKS – More than 70 people came to the UND campus Wednesday evening for a Constitution Day march in protest of the Trump administration's “long list of unconstitutional actions,” according to the organizers.
Protesters waved flags and held signs as they walked down University Avenue to University Park, where UND law professor Steve Morrison and North Dakota political commentator Trygve Hammer spoke to the crowd.
“Our government is centered on the Constitution, not on a person, not on an institution,” Hammer said. “And in fact, it demands that no person or institution get too much power. The Constitution grants us those rights, but they're not guaranteed unless we're willing to stand up for them.”
