LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- More than three weeks later, and Nevada is still recovering from the August cyberattack.

Governor Joe Lombardo provided an update on Friday, saying the DMV was 100% back online. However, some businesses that work in conjunction with the DMV told 8 News Now there have been issues present up until this week.

In the immediate aftermath of the cyberattack, various smog shops reported receiving “user error” messages during testing. This week, a new issue appeared that they are referring to as a “system shutdown.”

“It seems like the smogs are having trouble connecting to the vehicle identification database every once in a while,” Ryan Ellsworth, Smog Busters general manager, explained.
