SEDONA, AZ (AZFamily) — It may be meteorological fall, but the temperatures say otherwise. In Arizona’s High Country, fall colors drive tourism and if the leaves change late, that could mean fewer tourists.
After a hot summer, tourism in Sedona is starting to pick back up.
Visitors Darlene Dunn and Tom Pence came to Sedona from California for a few days and intend to spend their time hiking, shopping, and supporting local businesses.
“We’re just looking around and it’s spectacular,” Pence said.
“We live in a resort town, so coming to a place like this, we like to support the local businesses because we like people to do that in our town,” Dunn said.
