HERRIN — For years, Alzheimer’s could only be confirmed after death. Later, spinal taps and costly brain scans became the standard for answers.

Now, a simple blood test is giving physicians and families another option — and a Herrin neurologist says her clinic is among the first in the nation to bring it into everyday practice.
