Marion’s Adkins taking his game to new level

MARION — One of the most impactful football players for the Marion Wildcats, if not all of Southern Illinois this fall, is senior Sam Adkins.

Through the first three games of the season, Adkins is setting a torrid pace as a pass receiver with 15 catches for 297 yards and six touchdowns. That translates to five catches at just under 100 yards and two touchdowns-per-game.
