San Diego State is close to distributing more tickets for its football game Saturday night against Cal than it has for any home game since playing former Pac-12 foe UCLA two years ago.
SDSU coach Sean Lewis said Wednesday morning that there were 4,000 tickets remaining for the game at 32,500-seat Snapdragon Stadium. By mid-afternoon, amid a “flash sale,” fewer than 2,000 tickets remained on TicketMaster website.
There were 32,017 tickets distributed when SDSU played the Bruins early in the 2023 season, with an in-house crowd of 25,549.
“I’m real proud of the efforts of our ticketing office, marketing office, the support staff, all parties involved,” Lewis said. “On Saturday night, the spot to be in San Diego County is Snapdragon Stadium.”
