OTTAWA — Less than three months after taking the post, former justice minister David Lametti is no longer in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Lametti — the second Justin Trudeau-era keystone cabinet minister to depart their job this week — is reportedly leaving his position as principal secretary to Prime Minister Mark Carney, according to reporting by and CBC News, which broke the story.
The resignation, according to , came about as part of a “turf war” between Lametti and political strategist Tom Pitfield, with whom he shared the principle secretary position.
