MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A Beloit man was charged with producing and receiving child pornography, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Wisconsin said Wednesday.
Michael Shu, 25, allegedly persuaded a minor to make child pornography twice in March 2025, a federal indictment said. The Beloit man also allegedly received child pornography four times from the same minor, also in March 2025.
If convicted of producing child pornography, Shu faces a minimum of 15 years and up to 30 years in prison. If convicted of receiving child pornography, he will face anywhere from five to 20 years in prison.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI, Beloit Police Department and Newport, N.H. Police Department.
