YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- Neighbors in a rural part of York County set back in farmland didn't suspect anything unusual as officers responded to a domestic-related investigation Wednesday afternoon.
Just off a busy road, one neighbor said it's not uncommon for police to group there before departing for an operation.

Dave Miller was driving by when he saw officers doing just that near a barn. He said they waved him through.
"When I passed the barn, I heard gunshots within a few minutes," Miller said. "I saw an officer go down on the road, in the middle of the road."
He added, "I heard the gunshots. Many, many gunshots."
