BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) - People in Bismarck had the chance Wednesday to get free haircuts, clothes, food, and help finding housing, all in one place.

The Missouri Valley Coalition for Homeless People hosted Project Service Connect at the Dream Center on Park Avenue. The annual event has been running for more than 10 years. Organizers call it a “one-stop shop” for people who are homeless or at risk of losing their housing.

More than 25 local groups set up at the Dream Center to share resources. Guests could get help with housing applications, immunizations, and referrals to local agencies. Volunteers gave free haircuts, kids joined a book reading, and families picked up clothing and supplies.
