HART COUNTY, Ga. —

An attempted traffic stop in Hart County, Georgia, led to a pursuit and subsequent arrest early Wednesday morning, according to deputies.

Just after 3 a.m., a deputy with the Hart County Sheriff's Office attempted to pull over a white Ford Expedition with no tag on Old Highway 29.

Deputies said the driver refused to stop, leading deputies on a pursuit through several streets in Hartwell before coming to a stop on Rome Street.

The driver, identified as 26-year-old Jonathan Alexander Tribble, of Hartwell, was arrested and charged with:

Felony fleeing and attempting to elude

Driving while license suspended

Criminal attempt to possess marijuana (possession of marijuana)

Operating a vehicle without registration

Possession of ecstasy
