Queen Camilla appears to have shooed Princess Catherine away from Melania Trump as the trio conversed on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The Prince and Princess of Wales met the First Lady and US President Donald Trump on the grounds where they escorted the couple to King Charles and Camilla at the Trumps' second UK state visit on Wednesday.

Footage of the royal greeting shows Camilla speaking with Melania while William chatted with the President and the King some feet away.

Catherine then joined the women and engaged in a deep conversation with the First Lady as Camilla watched, looking around uncomfortably.

After a few moments, the Queen appeared to gesture for her daughter-in-law to move along with a wave of her hand.

Catherine obliged with the request and exchanged a few last words
