OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- The Oskaloosa Community School District School Board voted unanimously Wednesday evening to terminate art teacher Matthew Kargol's contract following a Facebook post Kargol made after the Charlie Kirk assassination that said 'one Nazi down.'
Mike Fisher, the Oskaloosa Community School District's superintendent, said that the school board held a closed session due to Kargol requesting one.
"We did have a session to have the board consider my recommendation for termination of a continued Contract Teacher. Per the teacher's request, we did go into closed session to review the findings of our investigation.
