KILLEEN, Texas — For Rebekah Koh, the journey was unforgettable.
Koh , a junior at Harker Heights High School, earned her seat on the National Youth Orchestra of the USA in February. The orchestra, comprised of 97 members including Koh, flew to Asia in July for a month-long tour.
They traveled to Osaka and Tokyo, Japan, to Hong Kong, to Beijing and Shanghai, China and to Seoul, Korea.
Koh couldn't stop using the word amazing when she reflected on the trip.
"It was such an amazing opportunity. It was amazing it was free. It was amazing I got to do it as a 17-year-old," Koh said.
The orchestra was not just sightseeing. They played seven concerts in famous concert halls with renowned guest conductors in front of nearly sold-out audiences.
