ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — Three years after someone murdered two teenagers , including one from Alamance County, the case still hasn't gone to trial.
The deaths of Devin Clark and Lyric Woods shocked the area, and inspired a state law change.
Orange County District Attorney Jeff Nieman said violent acts like the ones committed against 18-year-old Devin Clark and 14-year-old Lyric Woods are rare in the area.
"It hit the entire community very hard," Nieman said.
In September 2022, deputies said a group riding ATVs found the bodies of Clark and Woods on Buckhorn Road.
Clark was a senior at Eastern Alamance High School and Woods was a freshman at Cedar Ridge High School.
