NEENAH, Wis. (WBAY) - A vote was taken on Wednesday night in Neenah, after the city threatened to use eminent domain against a business owner and her landlord.
Jennifer Kornowske, the owner of “The Saucy Kitchen”, says she was caught off guard by the proposal, which involved taking part of her parking lot as part of a street improvement project.
On Wednesday night, city officials voted 8-1 to approve the use of eminent domain if necessary, meaning the government is now clear to take the private land for public use.
