At one point in my life, the number of people I regularly talked to on a cellphone was so limited that my contact list only included first names.

As an aside before we even get going, I realized I am friends with at least six guys named Matt, which caused some early confusion. I also know two dudes who insisted on being addressed as "Michael," instead of "Mike," which wasn't helpful. It also made me want to call them "Mike" even more. I can't imagine insisting someone address me as "Benjamin."

Anyway, in most cases, last names started getting added over the years. But some people are still in my contact list under their first name, if I haven't added someone else with that same first name.
