SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — People want to feel safe in their home, school, or workplace. Unfortunately, break-ins and active shooter threats often shatter that sense of security. A Scottsdale teen came up with a simple solution to make sure doors are secure, and his invention is selling nationwide.

“I love building things, but also love seeing the things that I build actually do something in the real world,” said 17-year-old high school senior Ayush Sidapara.

The Door Bull started as an 8th grade physics project.

“Deadbolts are the most common type of door locks, and I learned the physics behind them are hilariously bad,” said Ayush. An intruder can break down a dead bolted door in seconds.
