A thug glassed a member of staff in a row after being refused entry to a Wetherspoons after his mum's funeral, a court heard.
Jack Lewis wanted to carry on drinking after his mother's funeral when the row broke out, outside the Sir Henry Tate pup in Chorley, Lancashire.
Preston Crown Court heard how a barman and a manager from the pub were outside when Lewis and his friends arrived on the afternoon of May 31, 2023. The group were told they were not welcome due to being drunk, and a row broke out, with 'pushing and shoving'.

The barman was pushed back into the pub and Lewis picked up a glass and threw it, LancsLive reports. The victim recalled waking up in an ambulance with a serious injury to his face.
