A local resident living near the A84 has spoken out about daily 'near misses' due to ongoing safety concerns on the stretch past Blairdrummond . ‌

Residents have initiated their own safety campaign for the route, urging Transport Scotland to 'act now' to protect drivers and locals. ‌

They've started a petition urging the transport agency to "implement urgent road safety measures before it's too late and someone dies". ‌

This follows a spate of accidents over the summer on the stretch from Blair Drummond Safari Park to the junction of the A873, at the Blair Drummond Smiddy Farm Shop .

Five crashes took place in less than a month during the summer.
