STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The FDNY fought a fire early on Thursday morning at a home in Stapleton.
The fire badly damaged a home at Van Duzer and Targee streets.
Firefighters remain on the scene around 6 a.m. at the home. Portions of the home were gutted by the fire and some of the exterior walls are missing on the first floor.
