KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police are searching for a suspect after a man was shot and killed.

Just before 9:30 p.m. Thursday, September 17, Kansas City police were radioed to 10th and Prospect on numerous calls of gunshots fired.

On arrival, officers found a man’s body on the east side of the intersection, again at 10th and Prospect Streets.

Homicide detectives spoke to witnesses and collected evidence at the scene.

Preliminary investigation indicates one or more suspects fired shots that struck the victim outside an apartment complex.

Anyone at or around the complex who reports information leading to closure in the case is eligible for a $25,000 reward. The TIPS hotline is always open at 816-234-5043.
