An NHS healthcare assistant who has lost six stones while using Mounjaro has opened up over how she was forced to uptake more shifts at work to cover the price of the jabs.

Carly Stokes, 40, weighed 14 stone (88.9kg) while at her heaviest in 2021, after the mother-of-two said early menopause had triggered low moods and emotional eating, as well as binging, which in turn left her feeling "disgusting."

She shared how she avoided going outside, and suffered from low self esteem. It was only when she was told she was pre-diabetic in 2022 which caused her to make a change in her life.

Carly attempted to make healthy swaps to lose weight, but she said she ended up "binging" on takeaways and chocolate.
