A teenage e-scooter rider was ‘seriously injured’ after she was hit by a car.

It happened in Cooks Lane in Kingshurst , at the junction of Fordbridge Road this morning, Thursday, September 18.

Emergency services were called shortly before 9am. The girl was treated for ‘potentially serious injuries’ and then taken to Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham .

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and an electric scooter at the junction of Cooks Lane and Fordbridge Road in Kingshurt at 8.54am.
