EXCLUSIVE: Indie distributor Several Futures has picked up North American distribution rights to the 4K restoration of Lebanese filmmaker Jocelyne Saab’s narrative debut feature, The Razor’s Edge .
The restoration will debut at the New York Film Festival before opening at BAM in October for a week-long run before expanding across the US and Canada.
Set amid the Lebanese Civil War, Saab’s fiction film centers on the bond formed between a fortysomething painter and a teenager who grew up in war-torn Beirut. The new 4K release marks 40 years since the film’s original debut.
